Acquiring a digital whiteboard/brainstorming tool jointly

Teachers and service staff in HE institutions are using several different tools for brainstorming and collaboration, an online whiteboard in a way (e.g. Flinga, Miro, Mural, etc.). The problem  is, that they are usually easy to take into use for "free" (or you pay by giving access to all your data, basicly). Joint procurement of couple of best solutions would mitigate the obvious data protection issues that this wild use of consumer products pose.
